Sermon Notes

This Sunday we had the honor of hosting Dave Blakeslee at AZ Vineyard Church. He presented a captivating message through his pottery presentation. If you would like to learn more about Dave and

I spend many hours at the potter’s wheel, forming and shaping clay into vessels. As I look out from my studio window at the mountains across the meadow, I am amazed at the grandeur and beauty of this place I call home. I love this valley for many reasons. It is a place where life can be lived simply and meaningfully, where relationships go deep and develop history. I can be still and quiet, listening and perceiving. Silence and solitude are not strangers to me - the life of an artist requires time alone to think and envision and give life to the art. While working with my hands, a deeper formation is taking place within my soul, along with a desire to share these insights with others. I have been a professional studio potter, a bi-vocational pastor, and most recently a traveling speaker. Apart from what I have done and what I am doing, I have come to realize that I am a unique creation, formed in the mind of God and transformed by the hands of a Master Potter

It was such an honor to host YWAM Boston + the Encounter Tour 2019 this weekend! They performed such an powerful creative arts, dance and worship experience centered around The Gospel Story. The altar at the end was filled with students, parents and youth pastors seeking a greater depth of faith, a renewed commitment to Jesus, and a willingness to participate in The Great Commission.

YWAM Boston also led worship for us on Sunday morning. The Power of God was evident and the presence of Holy Spirit was obvious as they gave way for spontaneous worship and open space for personal ministry!

Sermon Notes

Kyle Hammerquist shared an informative and Biblical chat about the power of our testimony. We then heard from some young men from our Tribe Youth group share about testimonies from the Treasure Hunt they did on Friday night. Our Students are learning to pray and listen for prophetic Words of Knowledge and then participate with Heaven to help others encounter the love of Jesus in our communities.

It’s not often Jesus declared who He was...He just DOES who He is!

Sermon Notes

Rod Nichols, leader of IronMen’s Ministry brought a prophetic teaching about 2019 being a year of preparation for a mighty move of God. He encourages us all to get ready, stand firm, armor up, and step out as Ephesians 6 tell us.

With acceleration, the enemy brings contension and confusion. We must resist and abide in Christ.
— Rod Nichols

News & Notes from Sun 1.27.19

We had the honor or hearing from Irene Hammerquist this past Sunday for Family Sunday. She brought to us an interactive message which started by reading from her latest book release, “Uniquely You.” Irene encouraged us to embrace one another’s uniqueness, to speak words of encouragement and love even when others are different than we are. We are all made in God’s image and by His divine design.

Announcements & Notes from Sun 1.20.19

This past Sunday we heard a powerful, passionate and provocative message from Jason.

Taking a jog through the US Olympic years and the challenges & triumphs of each year’s relay team, he spoke about the importance of training, conditioning and practicing how to “pass the baton” well. Running the good race of faith means that we must learn to work well with our teammates (that is, The Church).

As a church body, amazing things are happening here at AZV. We’re experiencing many upgrades, rapid growth and the hand of the Lord moving powerfully in and through this house. We are excited to engage with Holy Spirit and participate in Kingdom work so that God will be glorified as lives are being changed & people are being healed! Let’s run this race well, together…in unity and in love!

Last Sunday we collected a year-end missions offering to give to Iris Cambodia, a ministry founded by Heidi & Rolland Baker to “facilitate the rescue and restoration of young children who are being abused, exploited and/or trafficked. We will also work with at risk individuals to prevent them from such exploitation and abuse.”

Because of your generosity, we are delighted to report that together we gave a $7,000 donation to Iris Cambodia!

We LOVE to hear testimonies of what God is doing in your life and those you love. We’ve seen God miraculously provide, families restored, pain and sickness be healed, and powerful words of prophesy being shared and come to fruition….would you consider sharing your #GloryStory?
